Origin: Bird's Nest & Sialic Acid (NANA)起源:燕窝与唾液酸(NANA)

Edible Bird's Nest (EBN) is the salivary secretion of swiftlets in the genus Aerodramus and Collocalia, harvested for centuries in maritime Southeast Asia. EBN's most distinctive biochemical feature is its high content of N-acetylneuraminic acid (NANA), a member of the sialic acid family. 食用燕窝(EBN)是金丝燕属(AerodramusCollocalia)的唾液分泌物,在东南亚被采食数百年。其最显著的生化特征是富含 N-乙酰神经氨酸(NANA)——唾液酸家族的代表分子。

Sialic acids are nine-carbon acidic sugars that decorate the outermost surface of mammalian cell membranes. They participate in cell-to-cell recognition, immune signalling and barrier function. Hydrolysis Chemistry水解化学

Native EBN is a tightly cross-linked glycoprotein. To present its bioactive sugar chains in a topically applicable form, the matrix must be cleaved without destroying the sugar moieties that carry the recognition signal. 原生燕窝是高度交联的糖蛋白基质。要把其生物活性糖链以外用形式释放,必须切断蛋白骨架,又不能破坏携带识别信号的糖基。

Conventional acidic hydrolysis at low pH is fast but tends to cleave glycosidic bonds, lowering sialic-acid yield. Patented controlled alkaline hydrolysis instead targets peptide bonds while preserving the α-2,3 / α-2,6-sialylated oligosaccharides intact, producing a fluid where the molar ratio of sialic acid to neutral hexose falls within an empirically optimised window (≈ 0.5–0.9). 传统酸性水解虽快,但易切断糖苷键,造成唾液酸损耗。专利受控碱性水解则针对肽键,同时保护 α-2,3 / α-2,6 唾液酸化寡糖完整,使唾液酸与中性己糖的摩尔比处于经验最优区间(约 0.5–0.9)。

Published in vitro mechanism studies on the hydrolyzed extract describe two parallel actions on dermal/follicular models. Both findings refer to ingredient behaviour in cellular assays — not to outcomes in a finished cosmetic product on living people.已发表的体外机理研究在真皮/毛囊模型中描述了水解精萃的两条并行作用。以下结论描述细胞实验中的成分行为,并非成品化妆品在人体上的功效。

In primary dermal fibroblast assays, the extract has been reported to upregulate Type I collagen synthesis (>20× control) and stimulate hyaluronic-acid (GAG) production. The reported effect supports an extracellular matrix able to anchor follicular structures.原代真皮成纤维细胞实验中,该精萃报告可上调 I 型胶原合成(>20×对照),并刺激透明质酸(GAG)合成。其结论支持构筑可锚定毛囊结构的细胞外基质。

In follicular co-culture models, the extract is reported to support endogenous expression of four growth-factor families (FGF-7, HGF, IGF-1, EGF) at >50% of unstimulated baseline. The extract does not contain these growth factors. "In vitro" means the experiment was run on isolated cells in a dish. Cellular results are biology, not consumer outcomes. They do not predict that a cosmetic containing the ingredient will produce equivalent results when applied to living scalps.
